Tips for a quick round
Move with WASD, sprint with Shift, jump with Space and use left click to mine and build. Gather basic materials first, since they unlock most of what you can craft. Build a small shelter early so you have a safe base. In a five-minute break, set yourself one small goal, like a house or a tower, instead of trying to do everything.
